As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the EMEA Last Mile Regulatory Reporting team within Corporate Technology, you lead a team of software engineers and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your teamu****s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities
Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
Manages stakeholder relationships and the teamu****s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Experience leading technology projects
Experience managing technologists
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD,
Application Resiliency, and Security
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - databases, Python etc.
Practical cloud native experience - experience with AWS/Databricks
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Knowledge of regulatory reporting
