Position Overview: As a Data Engineer at Kriptos, you will work closely with our Senior Data Engineer to support the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines, contributing to the reliability and scalability of our systems, and ensuring data is readily available for our Data Science, Data Analytics, and other teams. Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development: Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing data to support company-wide analytics and reporting needs.

Data Pipeline for Training Datasets: Collaborate with senior team members to develop secure data pipelines for preparing training datasets used by Data Science and AI teams.

AWS Support: Leverage AWS services to develop scalable and cost-effective solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Data Modeling: Support the creation and maintenance of data models, schemas, and ETL processes to streamline analytics and machine learning workflows.

Pipeline Optimization: Monitor and improve data pipelines to meet performance and reliability standards.

Collaboration:



Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to delivering solutions that meet their needs.

Data Governance: Follow established data governance policies to maintain data quality and integrity across systems.

Documentation: Document your work, including pipeline designs, processes, and best practices, to ensure knowledge sharing and operational consistency. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar role.

Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and Athena.

Hands-on experience in data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Proficiency in programming languages like Python (preferred), C#, or shell scripting.

Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices for deployment and monitoring.

Familiarity with data visualization tools like PowerBI, Quicksight, etc.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent communication skills. Nice-to-Have Skills:

AWS certification or demonstrable expertise in AWS data services.

Experience with machine learning or collaborating with AI teams.
