ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior/Lead React Native Engineer to own the architecture, release process, and long-term technical health of a reader mobile application built with React Native and distributed via Expo and EAS.

You will improve and maintain CI/CD and build automation workflows, manage App Store and Google Play releases, evaluate and implement architectural improvements, and establish engineering best practices through code reviews.

This is a platform-focused role prioritizing maintainability, release predictability, and developer experience over feature velocity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Own the technical architecture of the React Native application
- Improve and maintain the Expo/EAS build and release pipeline
- Manage App Store and Google Play releases
- Improve CI/CD, build automation, and deployment workflows
- Evaluate and implement architectural improvements as the application evolves
- Improve application performance, stability,



and maintainability
- Review pull requests and help establish engineering best practices
- Occasionally implement new product features when architectural work requires it

MUST HAVES

- 4+ years of experience with React Native in production
- Extensive experience with Expo and EAS Build/Update
- Deep understanding of iOS and Android release processes
- Familiarity with TypeScript
- Experience with push notification patterns and architecture
- Experience with offline reading experiences and caching behaviors
- Comfortable diagnosing native build issues and dependency conflicts
- Experience shipping and maintaining apps through the Apple App Store and Google Play

NICE TO HAVES

- Experience with analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring
- Experience working alongside modern React web applications
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions
