The RoleThe Front End Developer Lead needs to build/modify responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. based on the visual briefs.
The Front-End Developer will work on localization of the page based on the assets provided which includes updating links, images, and text in accordance to the client's coding standards.
As the senior, you will be responsible for the quality of code produced directly by yourself and your appointed team of developers.They will work closely with other discipline leads (QA/PM) to ensure scoping, estimates and requirements are estimated correctly and delivered with minimal errors.They must be enthusiastic about technology and constantly be looking at the next innovation.
On top of possessing strong oral, interpersonal and organizational abilities, you must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Flexibility and tolerance are a necessity.Key ResponsibilitiesThey will be required to support with the training and mentoring of the development teamLiaise with QA and PM teams to update on progress and drive the development to deliver to the highest standardDevelop new digital assets as identified by supervisor and managementModify existing code to accommodate for a locale or create now assets based on existing guidelines– including changing image paths, server-side includes (SSI), file names, directories, other elements,
and other development tasksEnsure all your work is performed according to the brief and minimum requirements for each clientDevelop fast and efficiently to meet tight deadlinesProduce digital assets in several languagesUpdate and amend existing assetsMaintain client digital assets to the best of your ability using clean, accessible mark-up according to the latest web standardsHelp and advise project managers with client's digital requestsKeep an eye on the latest trends to help boost development efficienciesAwareness of the client's mobile platform with the ability to build solutions that take advantage of the latest operating system features while remaining performant on the latest devicesProject and resource planningTake technical briefs from the client and brief it onto the rest of the teamInterview and train new hiresShare best practices with the other Lead Developers across the other marketsRequirementsA minimum of10years commercial development experience within an agencyExperience leading teams of developers and oversight/delivery of successful web projectsBA degree in computer science, MIS, or related experience with a grasp on data structures and algorithmsFluent in English and(insert native language), written and oral, due to the nature of the workExperience of creating technical and functional specificationsSelf-motivated, detail-oriented and organisedStrong Subversion skills (command-line)Strong understanding and experience of branch management,
