Customer Service Representative (Remote)
Location: Remote
Compensation: $900 to $1,350 USD/month, with a clear performance and raise path
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST (40 hours/week, with 30 minute lunch break)
Type: Full-time · Independent Contractor
Who We Are
We are a leading international staffing firm that connects talented professionals with established companies looking for skilled remote team members. We specialize in matching qualified candidates with businesses that want to grow their customer service capabilities.
About the Client Company The client is a well-established home services company that has served customers for over 90 years. They provide essential heating, cooling, and plumbing services to residential and commercial customers across multiple states. It is a small, close-knit team that values responsive, quality service and runs a membership program for its loyal customers. Because the team is small, you will own your work with little day-to-day oversight.
About the Role
We are looking for a personable, organized, and self-driven Customer Service Representative to join our client's team. This role balances outbound calling (30 to 40%) with administrative and email support (60 to 70%). You will contact existing customers and members only, so there is no cold calling.
The idóneo candidate manages multiple channels well, resolves concerns calmly, and stays productive in an autonomous remote setup. We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term role with our client, not a short stop between jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Make 100+ outbound calls daily to existing customers and membership members for appointment scheduling and follow-ups.
- Manage a high volume of customer email correspondence, especially for commercial accounts.
- Follow up with customers to fill the three-day scheduling board.
- De-escalate concerns and guide upset customers toward positive resolutions.
- Support internal team communication and coordinate with the scheduling department.
- Keep accurate records in the CRM and track every customer interaction.
- Contribute to membership program growth through proactive engagement.
- Balance multiple tasks and switch context effectively throughout the day.
Who You Are
- Your written and spoken English is at a C1 level: clear, professional, and confident on both phone and email.
- You have 2 or more years of customer service experience combining phone and email support.
- Your work history shows stability and growth. You have stayed in your roles, ideally with progression at a company, rather than moving every few months.
- You are comfortable owning your day in an unstructured, low-oversight remote environment and getting results without someone watching over you.
- You keep conversations warm and productive across a high volume of outbound calls.
- You have strong conflict resolution skills and can de-escalate tense situations without losing composure.
- You are experienced with CRM systems and email tools, and you stay organized even when the workload shifts.
Bonus Points
- Experience in home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar trades).
- Background in appointment scheduling or service coordination.
- Experience owning the customer relationship at a small or mid-sized company,
not only large call center operations.
- A track record of long tenure in a remote role.
- SDR or outbound experience.
- A naturally outgoing personality with genuine enthusiasm for customer interaction.
Home Office Requirements
- Reliable, high-speed internet (30 Mbps+).
- Noise-cancelling headset.
- A quiet workspace with no background noise or distractions.
- A computer that can run ServiceTitan and related tools without issues.
- A dual-monitor setup so you can manage multiple windows at once.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
- Consistently meeting or exceeding daily outbound call targets.
- The three-day scheduling board is filled reliably through proactive follow-ups.
- CRM records are accurate, up to date, and maintained without prompting.
Ongoing
- Standard customer service metrics are met week over week.
- Membership program growth is supported through strong engagement.
- Customer satisfaction stays high, with escalations handled smoothly.
