We are seeking an E-commerce Operations Lead to own and continuously improve the workflows behind PerkUp’s fulfillment operations. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role combining day-to-day execution, external-partner coordination, systems troubleshooting, and process improvement.
You will personally handle a meaningful share of recurring operational work, including creating ASNs, coordinating inbound shipments with our purchasing team, resolving inventory and receiving issues, and serving as the primary contact for our fulfillment partners. You will also take ownership when systems or processes change or break.
We are looking for a high-agency operator who learns quickly, reasons clearly, and takes ownership of unfamiliar problems. You do not need experience with every system or workflow we use. What matters most is your ability to understand how a process works, investigate what is going wrong, develop a solution, and drive it through completion without needing step-by-step direction.
This role is fully remote and works Eastern Time business hours.
What You Will Own
Operational Execution
- Personally create and submit ASNs while owning their accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate inbound shipments with the purchasing team and operations coordinator.
- Reconcile purchase orders, ASN data, warehouse receipts,
carrier information, and Shopify inventory.
- Resolve receiving delays, inventory discrepancies, damaged products, shortages, and other exceptions.
Partners and Systems
- Serve as PerkUp’s primary operational contact for its fulfillment partners.
- Own operational changes involving warehouse systems, integrations, receiving requirements, or partner processes.
- Investigate order-import failures, inventory-sync errors, SKU-mapping problems, missing tracking, and similar issues.
- Work with technical teams and external partners while remaining responsible for driving issues to resolution.
Process Improvement and Ownership
- Identify weak or broken processes before they affect customers.
- Turn recurring problems into better controls, SOPs, reporting, and workflows.
- Communicate risks with evidence, impact, recommended action, and clear next steps.
- Escalate when authority or specialist expertise is genuinely needed—not simply because a problem is unfamiliar.
What We’re Looking For
- At least three years of experience in ecommerce operations, business operations, technical operations, implementation, marketplace operations, logistics, supply chain, vendor management, project coordination, or another high-ownership operational role.
- A demonstrated ability to investigate and solve ambiguous operational problems.
- Hands-on Shopify experience, including working with products and SKUs, orders, fulfillment, locations, and inventory.
- Hands-on experience creating and managing ASN workflows.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar software and understand how information moves between systems.
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Full fluency in written and spoken English.
- Availability to work a full schedule during Eastern Time business hours.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with operational data.
- Willingness to execute recurring work personally while improving the process around it.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
Helpful, but Not Required
- Warehouse, inventory, ERP, or order-management systems.
- Ecommerce integrations, APIs, EDI, or middleware.
What We Offer
- $2,500–$3,000 USD per month, depending on experience and demonstrated ability.
- Up to 20 paid leave days per year, with up to five days carried forward.
- A laptop after a successful 30-day review.
- Annual compensation and performance review.
- Paid access to AI tools and professional certification programs.
- Flexibility for occasional personal errands during the workday.
- Direct collaboration with PerkUp’s executive and operations leadership.
Hiring Process
1. Application and initial screening.
2. Skills assessment.
3. Initial interview.
4. Practical operations and systems working session.
5. Final leadership interview, reference checks, and offer.
