We are hiring an

Insurance Verification &

Benefits (VOB) Specialist for a healthcare provider company in the behavioral health industry. This is a FULL-TIME remote role for a US-based company. This role is adecuado for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, responsive, confident on the phone with US insurers, and comfortable with high-volume, process-driven work.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform insurance verification/benefits checks by calling major US insurers; follow a 20–25-question script per lead

- Accurately document all responses in the designated form/CRM/worksheet and save to the shared location

- Return completed VOBs to the admissions team via group email within same-day SLAs

- Maintain queue hygiene, trackers, and status updates; escalate discrepancies or complex cases as needed

- Manage a steady daily volume with quick turnaround, five days per week

- Secondary: Execute Reddit outreach using approved keyword searches and prewritten comments to support visibility/SEO during downtime

- Secondary: Light social media engagement such as following target accounts and posting simple, approved comments

- Collaborate with the VOB Team Lead and admissions/operations stakeholders; attend check-ins and report metrics

- Protect PHI and adhere to HIPAA-aligned confidentiality practices

Required Qualifications

- 1+ year of US healthcare insurance verification, benefits coordination, or revenue cycle support; or strong phone-based support experience with the aptitude to learn VOB quickly

- Experience calling US insurance carriers and navigating IVR/representative conversations; professional phone etiquette

- Excellent written and spoken English; high attention to detail and data accuracy

- Proven reliability, consistent attendance,



and ability to meet same-day turnaround times

- Comfortable with repetitive, scripted, and process-driven tasks

- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets) and spreadsheets

- Ability to work Monday–Friday aligned to US business hours

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience with behavioral health, substance use treatment, or dental insurance verification

- Experience with CRMs/EMRs and ticketing/task management tools

- Familiarity with major US payers and core concepts (deductibles, copays, coinsurance, OON vs. INN)

Required Skills & Tools

- VoIP calling tools and softphone setups (e.g., RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Skype)

- Spreadsheet proficiency (Google Sheets or Excel)

- Basic CRM/EMR navigation and email productivity tools

Schedule & Pay

- FULL-TIME position; 40 hours/week in the US MST time zone

- This is a fully remote job for a US-based company

- Pay ranges from R13 000 to R17 400, depending on experience and skill

- Includes paid training, long-term stability, and growth potential
