Our client, a SaaS/BaaS start-up focused on creating, managing and optimizing loyalty programmes, are looking for:

As a Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving our software development projects to success. You will be responsible for leading a team of software developers, guiding them through complex technical challenges, and ensuring high-quality code is delivered consistently and on schedule. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence will directly impact the development and implementation of critical software applications and systems.

Responsibilities

● Partner with the Leadership team to define and implement a program to support team values and culture in a general team of different countries and cultures.

● Support and shape our remote culture to ensure strong productivity and teamwork as our fully distributed team continues to grow

● Assist in driving our recruiting and hiring processes including interviewing, offers and compensation analysis

● Help structure internal feedback and performance reviews, and provide coaching as people advance in their career

● Collaborate with other team members to ensure our people operations programs,

processes, structure, and systems align with our business goals and manage risk appropriately

● Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.

● Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

● Liaising with team members and management to ensure projects are completed to standard.

● Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.

● Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements.

● Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.





● Updating work schedules and performing troubleshooting as required.

● Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.

● Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.

Requeriments

● You have excellent technical skills and relevant experience with Javascript/Node.js (ideally with TypeScript too).

● Experience in developing and running (Monitoring, Alerting...) highly-available, high-traffic, and customer-facing services.

● You have experience with web application development frameworks and tools like React, Express, Next.js.

● You have experience building APIs via REST and JSON

● You have experience with Cloud Development in GCP/AWS (Experience with other cloud platforms is OK too)

● Profound knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle. This includes coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.

● You have experience with a variety of data stores and designing suitable data models

● You can provide analysis of complex problems and recommend solutions

● You have a computer science degree or relevant professional experience

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively with all levels of the organization and across cultures

● Self-starter, working with little supervision and operating with a sense of urgency in executing and delivering

● Ability to work in an evolving, nimble technology environment

● Having worked in a startup as well as in a big corporate environment

● 5+ years of experience in a similar position.

● Proficient in English.
