We are seeking a Reporter to research, investigate, and produce accurate, timely, and engaging news content across a variety of topics and platforms. This role is responsible for gathering information, conducting interviews, verifying facts, and delivering high-quality stories that inform, educate, and engage audiences while maintaining the highest standards of journalistic integrity and professionalism.

The successful candidate will identify newsworthy events, develop story ideas, conduct thorough research, and prepare compelling news reports for digital, print, broadcast, or multimedia platforms. You will collaborate with editors, photographers, videographers, producers, and other media professionals to ensure content is accurate, balanced, and published within established deadlines.

Key responsibilities include attending press conferences, covering live events, interviewing sources, collecting supporting information, verifying facts through reliable sources, and producing well-structured news articles, feature stories, and investigative reports. You will monitor current events, analyze emerging trends, and identify stories that are relevant to target audiences while ensuring compliance with editorial standards and ethical journalism practices.

The role also involves creating multimedia content for online platforms, contributing to social media coverage, maintaining relationships with news sources, and responding quickly to breaking news developments. You will review official documents, public records, and research materials to support accurate reporting while ensuring that all published content is objective, factual, and legally compliant.

You will work closely with editorial teams to refine story angles, edit content, and maintain consistency in style, tone, and quality. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong research abilities, sound editorial judgment, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, English, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and engaging content.
- Ability to conduct professional interviews and gather information from diverse sources.
- Familiarity with news writing styles, editorial guidelines, and content production workflows.
- Knowledge of digital publishing platforms, content management systems (CMS), and multimedia storytelling techniques.
- Understanding of social media platforms and their role in news gathering, audience engagement, and content distribution.
- Ability to verify information, analyze public records, and evaluate the credibility of sources.
- Strong analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and sound editorial judgment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital communication tools.
- Familiarity with photography, video production, audio recording, or basic multimedia editing is advantageous.
