Responsibilities
- Conduct field research and collect data on marine species, habitats, and ecosystems.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and patterns.
- Prepare reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement research projects.
- Maintain and calibrate research equipment.
- Participate in field expeditions and data collection trips.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and industry developments.
- Assist with grant writing and funding proposals.
- Contribute to the development of new research methodologies and techniques.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Marine Biology, Oceanography, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine research and data collection.
- Strong knowledge of marine ecosystems and species identification.
- Proficient in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with grant writing and funding proposals is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote field locations.
- SCUBA diving certification is preferred.
