Senior Visual/UI Designer (Americas)
Located in Argentina, this full‑time role offers flexibility and is part of Valtech’s Experience Design discipline.
Role responsibilities
- Create and execute highly polished visual designs and concepts that remain on brand and directly address clients’ business needs.
- Design typography, composition, interface elements, logos, branding, components, and other assets for various platforms, viewports, and formats.
- Craft and present high‑fidelity design concepts and directions as part of the design process.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas, inspiration, and solutions articulated through references, sketches, storyboards, mood boards, and conceptual designs.
- Maintain high standards of design, presentation, processes, and collaboration to engage clients effectively.
- Stay current, champion, and advocate for new AI practices, recent design methodologies, trends, and techniques, proactively researching and recommending best practices.
- Bring design to life through working prototypes and motion, including the ability to consider motion in interaction, create prototypes in Figma, and/or other AI tools.
- Create design systems, style guides, brand guides, and other artifacts to describe and visualize the intended user experience, and prepare assets for development.
- Collaborate with UX designers, strategists, copywriters, creative directors, developers, and fellow visual designers.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships internally and externally, with a particular focus on the design group.
- Mentor junior designers, helping build a dynamic design culture.
What you should have
- 5+ years proven agency or studio experience across a variety of industries designing for digital experiences.
- Excellence in designing brand and/or systematic design experiences across multiple channels.
- A passion for continuously improving and pushing the work to be better.
- Fluency in English, with strong verbal communication and presentation skills to North American team members and clients.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex ideas with passion and enthusiasm and confidently defending work.
- Strategic thinker who can assimilate the strategic ambition of a project and inputs from UX and narrative to deliver a compelling, rounded design solution.
- Collaborative spirit and team player who takes direction well, adds to group processes, and supports others; expertise in guiding junior designers on design principles and best practices.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, juggle multiple projects, and deliver to dozens of stakeholders without sacrificing quality.
- Strong prioritization skills, focusing time and energy on the right tasks throughout the design process.
- Solutions‑based mindset, able to roll with changing circumstances.
- Skilled with AI tools and current design practices; proficient in Figma and Figma‑related AI tools, as well as image generators; these should be core elements of the toolbox.
