Main Purpose
Reporting to the Plant Lead, the Perform & Transform Process Engineer will be responsible for improving and running the business at the largest Seed Site in the world, evolving operational safety, quality, asset capacity, and performance indicators, while driving process standardization, operator qualification, and continuous improvement opportunities. The position will play a key role in accelerating site transformation through base and transformational projects, delivering sustainable savings and operational excellence over the next 3-5 years.
Your mission will be to
- Lead the resolution of deviations and operational issues related to safety, quality, and performance, promoting corrective and preventive actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, VSM, OEE/TEEP, and other performance improvement methodologies.
- Improve and manage operational systems such as oneMES, Mindsphere, and other advanced technologies,
ensuring logic functionality and accurate data entry by operations teams.
- Design, configure, and optimize production processes and projects from concept through commissioning and operational readiness.
- Develop and maintain operational standards based on loss analysis, supporting autonomous maintenance and process discipline across the area.
- Develop and manage the skills matrix for the area or process, identifying capability gaps and driving formal training and on-the-job learning.
- Act as a key member in defining and implementing initiatives and projects through protocol execution, testing, commissioning, and knowledge transfer.
- Lead base and transformational projects, coordinating squads, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to accelerate site transformation.
- Optimize setup activities and area or process planning, increasing operational flexibility and alignment with business needs.
- Address customer complaints related to the process, ensuring final product delivery within standards.
- Anticipate impacts on other areas, minimizing losses and coordinating improvements to maximize end-to-end performance.
- Map, prioritize, and implement initiatives that support business requirements and contribute to sustainable savings.
- Participate in follow-up meetings such as Tier, performance reviews, and planning routines, reporting KPIs and defining action plans with the team.
- Provide recommendations for planning meetings based on technical implications of the production plan.
- Support shift handovers, ensuring effective communication flow and alignment between teams.
Unlock your potential
- University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronic,
Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- Advanced or fluent English.
- Complementary training in Lean Manufacturing & Production Systems, Process Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management.
- Knowledge of digital and operational tools such as ACAD, Power BI, SCADA, MES, and AI tools related to the discipline and role.
- Experience in manufacturing best practices, Lean Manufacturing, production systems, OEE/TEEP, VSM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably related to seed manufacturing, batch processes, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Experience across project phases including requirements documentation, detailed design, implementation, system integration, testing, commissioning, and on-site startup.
- Knowledge of PMI methodology and capital project management, including design, execution, commissioning, and knowledge transfer.
- Project leadership, change management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate in matrix structures across site, regional, and integral APSe teams.
