How will you make an impact?

Sales Representative is responsible for the sales of capillary sequencing and next generation sequencing instruments; Real-time instruments and other high technology platforms along with its accessories and reagents products and services across the territory.Also maintains effective customer relations to develop opportunities for growth within an existing customer base and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts.

What will you do?

- Manage pricing and negotiates within territory to control profitability.
- Inform customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control, consults with customers.
- Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory.
- Researches competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data into the business plan; Introduce new products and services.
- Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of territory.
- Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by manager.

How will you get here?

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences or equivalent work experience.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

- Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment
- Computer proficiency/software skills (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills – Spanish & English.
- Expert presentation skills to present information to customers, clients, and other employees
- Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed
- Strong background in molecular science, research and/or biotechnology science preferred
- Must be able and willing to travel to customer locations across all the country
