About the Job

The Senior Manager, Performance Engineering will lead the design and implementation of AI‑enabled and agentic platforms and systems for performance, load, and chaos testing across Levi’s e‑Commerce and Retail systems in the cloud and on edge devices. The role involves reimagining a greenfield platform to measure performance and resilience of Levi’s digital systems.

- The role is LATAM based and will coordinate and interact regularly with teams in the US, India, and Latin America executing performance, load, and chaos testing.
- The Senior Manager is responsible for designing and implementing internal systems and adapting publicly available best‑in‑breed tools to measure performance and resilience across our enterprise.
- These systems support work developed by squads in eCommerce and Retail systems for all general markets.

About You

- 7+ years of experience testing performance, load, and chaos for enterprise projects.
- 7+ years of people leadership, including building and leading high‑performing platform engineering teams, hiring, coaching, performance management, and partnering with Product, Engineering, SRE/Operations, and QE leaders.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud systems (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
- Subject matter expertise in K6, LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, Gremlin, and related systems.




- Exposure to DotCom Monitor and/or Load View for front‑end performance testing.
- Deep understanding of web and site performance metrics (including PSI and CrUX) and the ability to evolve metrics strategy.
- 2+ years of experience using monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Nimbu, Dynatrace, or similar.
- Strong development skills in C# and Java.
- Strong curiosity and exploration in the use of GenAI and Agentic AI to partner with human engineers.
- Demonstrated expertise in platform engineering and platform design, specifically in performance platforms.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing scalable performance testing solutions.
- Strong analytical skills to use data and metrics to interpret monitoring and derive recommendations and actions.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Performance Engineering.
- Comprehensive understanding of Agile, DevOps and Lean Software principles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred. Demonstrated work experience designing and implementing performance platforms and automation tools is acceptable in place of education.
