Job Description: General Accountant for US Companies (Remote)

Position : General Accountant

Work Hours : 100% US Business Hours
Location : Fully Remote (Candidate should have a professional work-from-home setup)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled General Accountant to manage the end-to-end accounting processes for US-based companies. The idóneo candidate will have extensive experience in US GAAP, proficiency in managing accounting platforms, and a strong background in working with American companies. This is a fully remote position requiring a dedicated and exclusive work-from-home setup.

Key Responsibilities

- Bookkeeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable : Manage AP/AR processes, including billing, invoicing, and payment tracking.
- Reconciliation : Perform periodic reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records.
- Month-End and Year-End Closings : Ensure timely and accurate financial closings, including journal entries and adjustments.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis : Prepare and analyze financial reports, including P&L; statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting & Tracking : Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and track financial performance against projections.
- Compliance : Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.




- Software Utilization : Work efficiently using accounting platforms like Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage, SAP, and similar tools.
- Communication & Collaboration : Coordinate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to address financial inquiries and reporting needs.

Qualifications

- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications : CPA or equivalent certification is required. Quick Books Certification or similar platform-specific certifications are a plus.
- Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting.
- Proven experience working with US-based companies.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and related compliance requirements.

- Technical Skills :

- Proficiency with accounting software, including Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
