Role OverviewGoFundMe is a community platform that helps people help each other.
The GoFundMe Pro team is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical vision and execution of our Integrations platform.ResponsibilitiesDefine and drive the technical roadmap for the Integrations platform to scale with product growth and business complexity.Lead the design and implementation of core integration components: Public/Private APIs, webhooks, internal/external system connectivity, and automation workflows.Serve as a hands‐on expert and role model in software design, system architecture, and best practices.Guide the team's use of AWS services (Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions) to power scalable integration workflows.Evaluate and integrate with third‐party platforms such as Salesforce (NPC/NPSP, Experience Cloud), Workato, and Zapier.Champion AI‐assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to boost engineering quality and efficiency.Mentor and support engineers through design reviews, pair programming, incident reviews, and technical coaching.Qualifications10+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend and systems integration (APIs, GraphQL, Webhooks, TypeScript, AWS, MySQL).
Proven expertise in designing and building robust APIs and scalable integration architectures such as microservices and event‐driven architectures.Strong experience in performance analysis, diagnosis, and prevention of scalability problems, and expertise with monitoring tools such as NewRelic and BugSnag.Proficiency in at least two of the following: Node.js, Python, Java.Extensive AWS experience, especially Glue, Step Functions, Lambda,



and SQS/SNS.Product mindset and pragmatic approach to technical decision‐making.Strong mentoring orientation and a desire to elevate teammates.Preferred: Experience building or maintaining Salesforce integrations and familiarity with nonprofit‐specific packages (NPC, NPSP, Experience Cloud).
