The Role
Principal, Art Director – a hands‑on creative leader who partners closely with Copywriters and reports to an Associate Creative Director to bring campaign briefs to life across digital, social, and video channels. The role involves conceptual thinking, sharp design instincts, and video‑first experience to translate strategy into smart, engaging creative that performs. Note: The position requires onsite presence with the client in a hybrid capacity or willingness to travel up to 50% to the Bay Area. What You’ll Do
Deliver high‑impact creative across digital, social, and video touchpoints, focusing on visual storytelling and performance. Support video and content production, including pre‑production planning, on‑set support, and post‑production collaboration with editors and motion designers. Partner with copywriters, strategists, producers, project managers, and client teams to align creative with brief goals, brand voice, and business objectives. Own the creative execution from kickoff to delivery, ensuring polished, on‑brand, performance‑minded assets are delivered on time. Mentor junior talent, providing feedback and creative guidance to Art Directors and Designers. Navigate ambiguity, adapt to shifting priorities, and bring proactive solutions to creative and production challenges. Embody team culture by leading with curiosity, kindness, and accountability, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment. What You’ll Bring
5‑7 years of visual design experience with a portfolio showcasing digital campaigns, social‑first content, and video‑driven work. Previous agency experience and a track record on high‑volume,



high‑visibility accounts. On‑set and content production experience, working with video directors, editors, and producers. Strong client presentation and communication skills. Excellent design sensibility with a strategic eye for layout, typography, motion, and branding. A proactive, collaborative mindset and generosity toward teammates. A creative portfolio that showcases design range in digital and video and turns strategy into scroll‑stopping creative. Proficiency in the Following Programs/Tools
Figma or Sketch Adobe Illustrator Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs) macOS Additional Things That Will Impress Us
Basic to intermediate animation skills. Experience at a performance marketing agency. Familiarity with time‑tracking, project management software, and team communication tools such as Slack, Google Meet, Zoom, Asana, and Harvest. Location and Salary
