Overview
We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Bookkeeper and Payroll & Compliance Coordinator to join our team at The Archetype Strategy. The role involves managing bookkeeping, contractor payroll, invoicing, and ensuring HR compliance with labor regulations. The adecuado candidate will keep financial and HR records in order and ensure contractors are paid accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping: maintain accurate financial records in Quick Books or Xero, reconcile bank and credit card statements, and track and categorize business expenses. Payroll & Contractor Hours: collect contractor timesheets or hours worked, calculate weekly payroll while ensuring compliance with labor regulations, maintain payroll records, and assist with payments. Invoicing & Accounts Receivable: prepare and send weekly invoices to clients, align invoices with contractor hours worked and project details, monitor payments, and follow up on overdue invoices. HR & Compliance:



maintain accurate contractor records and documentation, ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations, advise on proper contractor classification, support HR processes such as onboarding, and assist with employment compliance reporting and audits if needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR Management, Business Administration, or related field. 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or HR compliance. Familiarity with labor laws and contractor management. Knowledge of accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero, or similar (preferred but not required). Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Must speak English and Spanish. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Reliable internet connection and experience with remote work tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace).
