All Belong Here.At Medallia, we hire the whole person.About the roleAs a Quality Engineer II, you'll be working with emerging technologies in a role that merges the responsibilities of quality assurance and test automation.
You will work with a software development team on various projects from start to finish, to create test plans that can be transformed into automated test cases.
You will augment an automated test development process, automate new test cases and create test data to support the product development lifecycle.
As we scale, confidence, efficiency and consistency in quality testing will be imperative, and you will play a huge part in its success.Candidates based in the Buenos Aires vicinity will be prioritized as this role is Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.
ResponsibilitiesReview requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackCreate detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases,



with guidance from senior Quality EngineersEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities at the level of a projectDevelop and execute manual and automation scripts and integrate them in CI/CD pipelinesAutomate and document tests from existing test cases/scenarios and new feature specifications, with guidance from senior Quality EngineersStay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategiesIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugsBe meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all test cases and test resultsPerform thorough regression testingParticipate on a Scrum team, including all Agile and Scrum related ceremonies QualificationsMinimum Qualifications 2+ years working in software testing development or relevant experience while pursuing a degreeFundamentals of software QA methodologies, tools and processesExperience in writing and running clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesProficient with bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (or a willingness to learn)Nice-to-have: experience with version control software (e.g. Git), JavaScript, Typescript and/or PlaywrightPreferred Qualifications Analytical thinker with ability to identify and solve problems in a logical mannerHighly adaptable, able to make decisions on incomplete information and manage multiple processes simultaneouslyDetail oriented and ability to analyze complicated data setsAbility to spot flaws and inconsistenciesStrong propensity for research and investigationFriendly, outgoing, enjoys working with others and making customers successfulA spirit of collaboration and transparent communicationExcellent verbal and written communication skills
