Portfolio Operations Specialist
Locations: Mexico & Argentina Work Modality: Contractor – Onsite
Schedule: Availability required between 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM (EST)
Role Overview: The Portfolio Operations Specialist will execute core operational processes related to financial transactions, reconciliations, and investment portfolio support. The role demands strong attention to detail, analytical skills, solid knowledge of financial products, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute daily operational activities including Trade Matching, Settlements, Post-Settlements, and Corporate Actions.
• Reconcile portfolio positions and cash balances between internal systems and custodians or fund administrators.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve breaks or discrepancies accurately and promptly.
• Maintain data integrity and accuracy across portfolio management systems, including configurations, corporate events, and pricing.
• Collaborate closely with custodians and external counterparties to support investment operations through clear and effective communication.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by clients, senior team members, or team leads.
• Continuously develop knowledge of multiple financial instruments including equities, fixed income, swaps, options, FX, mortgages, financing, and futures.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.




Professional Experience:
• 3 to 5 years experience in investment operations, trade support, or portfolio reconciliation within multinational banks, investment firms, hedge funds, or asset managers.
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, asset classes, and reconciliation processes.
Technical Skills:
• Solid knowledge of financial products, especially derivatives, including Futures, Swaps, Options, FX, OTC instruments.
• Familiarity with General Equities and Fixed Income.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2+/C1 level - written and spoken).
• Advanced Excel skills capable of analyzing complex financial data.
• Experience with OMS/PMS platforms such as Enfusion, Eze Software/Eclipse, Geneva, Portfolio One (Layer One), Sage Intacct is highly valued.
Soft Skills:
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
