We are seeking a Accounting Operations Analyst to join our growing SoFi Controllership team.

The role
We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong desire to develop their career in international tax and finance.
In this role, you will not be alone: you will work directly with the Senior Tax Accountant and the Senior Manager along with others in the global tax function, who will provide support, guidance, and mentorship in all your tasks.

What you'll do
Assist in quarterly and year‐end tax closing tasks, including analysis of the Annual Effective Tax Rate (AETR) and Pre‐Tax Book Income (PTBI).
Collaborate in the determination of annual income tax provisions.
Participate in transfer pricing reviews and the filing of tax returns and informative returns across all countries.
Communicate intercompany operations to each country on a quarterly basis and manage the delivery of required documentation.
Work alongside the Treasury department to ensure timely tax payments and assist in developing tax estimates.
Monthly and quarterly tax payments.
Analyze withholdings on intercompany payments in conjunction with the Treasury and Accounts Receivable departments.
Provide support in direct and indirect tax audits for all jurisdictions where the company operates.
Perform detailed account reconciliations (daily, weekly, and monthly) and record journal entries.
Participate in the review of tax accounts and the preparation of entries to record both provisions, indirect and direct tax returns.
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and automate reconciliation processes using available technological tools.
Prepare ad‐hoc reports and financial analyses upon request to support management decision‐making.
What you'll need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent.
Working knowledge or foundational understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance.
Advanced English level (written and spoken).
Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, and general ledger and reconciliation systems.
Strong organizational, analytical, mathematical, and project management skills.
A forward‐thinking and hands‐on approach.
A desire to learn.
Proactive and self‐driven with the ability to think creatively within a adaptable environment.
Knowledge of balance sheets, income statements, and mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
Nice to have
Experience with Workday Financials tool,
Google Workspace, Alteryx, and Jira.
Previous exposure to tax provisions, intercompany transactions, or audit support is a plus, but not required as you will be mentored by Senior leadership.
Prior work experience performing reconciliations and using a reconciliation system.
