As a member of the engineering team, you will have the opportunity to design and build systems and features from the ground-up, have a big role to play in defining the direction of our product and mentor other engineers.The adecuado candidate will have a product-oriented mindset with a passion for technology and customer satisfaction.

We challenge the status quo every day, internally and externally.What Youll DoDesign, implement, and maintain the backend services that make up the parking platformBe a key part of the entire development lifecycle, including ideation and identifying requirementsModerate technical discussions, evaluate new techniques, and ensure our platform is constantly evolving and improvingLeverage best practices in automation testing and deployment to enable rapid iteration and launch of new featuresHelp build a culture where bugs and mistakes in Production are treated as opportunities to improve the platformEnsure that the systems we build are highly available and scalableWork directly with our partners and build solutions that seamlessly integrate their products with the platformAbout YouMS or BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Strong fundamental computer science skills6+ years of software engineering experience.




Advanced level knowledge of Scala, Java or related languageProven track record of designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and software products in high volume consumer facing applicationsExperience with microservices, event driven architectures, and related technologies and paradigmsDeep understanding of Agile engineering processes that support the entire software development life cycle, including TDD/BDD, CI/CD and related build/test/deploy processesExperience with database technologies, especially MySQL and PostgresExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiencesOur StackLanguages + Frameworks: TypeScript, React, Scala (principally), Java (limited)Datastores: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SnowflakeCloud: AWSVersion control: Git & GitHubAI Tooling: Copilot on GitHub and Claude CodeObservability: DatadogBenefitshireworks is cultivating a growing community of top talent across Colombia and Argentina.
