Manager, Commercial Strategy Analytics and Modeling
The Manager Financial Modeling role within the Commercial Strategy and Solutions and Sales Enablement team is responsible for driving the development of financial and other models in Excel, creating internal-facing content, collaborating both internally to Commercial Strategy and Solutions and externally with the various Syneos Health Commercial business units to collect and collate relevant materials, and supporting special projects. The role supports Syneos Health Commercial's strategy, not strategic consulting on behalf of a client.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the (Associate) Director or above to execute on both regular and ad hoc initiatives across Commercial Strategy.
Lead select workstreams, set timelines, create consistent communications, facilitate meetings, ensure stakeholders meet deadlines, and complete deliverables such as PPT decks and Excel models.
Take detailed discussion notes and capture follow-up action items during meetings – both internal and external – and follow‐up with key stakeholders to ensure completion.
Design working session approaches, develop content, and facilitate sessions as needed.
Consolidate content into high‐quality, leadership‐facing materials for review by the (Associate) Director or above, meeting all deadlines.
Build and/or manage Excel models to support workstreams such as targeting, segmentation, and commercial strategy.
Storyboard content and develop leadership‐facing content independently for review by the (Associate) Director or above.
Provide ad‐hoc support for special projects, including cross‐department workstreams, independently managing deadlines and competing commitments.
Communicate detailed direction to international support staff; manage upward and among peers.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required
Bachelor's Degree.




3‐4 years of relevant working experience.
Experience in management consulting or services companies such as consulting, agency, CRO, or CCO.
High proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Project management experience, including development and maintenance of detailed project plans within a PPM application.
Ability to build and interpret Excel models.
Slide design and story‐boarding skills.
Highly effective verbal and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
Strong self‐awareness and emotional intelligence to navigate a matrixed environment and Commercial Leadership.
Ability to handle ambiguity and multiple concurrent assignments on short timelines.
Manages competing priorities and instructions.
Clear ability to explore and implement new technologies such as AI tools, and experience doing so.
Ability to travel as needed (approximately *****%).
Advanced level of English language (verbal and written).
Preferred
Master's Degree (MBA, MPH, MHA).
Positions in pharmaceutical industry boutique consulting firms or life science alignment in large consulting organizations.
Advanced Excel modeling skills.
