Role Summary

We are seeking a Regional General Manager (RGM) in Buenos Aires to lead Rappi’s overall performance in the region. The RGM will combine commercial leadership, operational excellence, and people management to drive sustainable growth across all business pillars. As the owner of the region’s performance, the RGM will make data‑driven decisions with high autonomy and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Regional Ownership

- Act as the primary decision maker for commercial, operational, financial, and talent matters in the region.
- Align local strategies with Rappi Argentina’s national vision and general objectives.
- Lead the region’s P&L;, prioritizing ROI‑based decisions for long‑term sustainability.

2. Performance Management and Acceleration

- Drive Boston to first‑level performance using metrics such as City Sequencing, service quality, delivery times, and assortment depth.
- Monitor and optimize key operational KPIs: cancellation rate, logistical inefficiencies, and fulfillment metrics.
- Track growth of user cohorts and support sustainable expansion.
- Enhance the accessibility and penetration of RappiPro.

3. Commercial Execution and Strategy

- Lead high‑impact negotiations with key partners on promotions, co‑investment, and advertising.
- Design and execute pricing and promotion strategies tailored to local user behavior and Argentine market competition.
- Launch activation strategies in key zones to accelerate demand and engagement.
- Validate pricing experiments at the zone level to measure impact and scale results.

4. Cross‑Functional Leadership

- Inspire and lead local multidisciplinary teams (Growth, Ops, Marketing, Commercial).




- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and collaboration.
- Translate central initiatives into local actions with speed and impact.
- Co‑create communication strategies to maximize offer visibility: banners, push notifications, ads.

5. Analytical Decision‑Making

- Conduct deep data analyses to justify investments and prioritize initiatives.
- Create business cases for growth initiatives and optimize resource allocation.
- Monitor competitive dynamics and consumer behavior in Buenos Aires to adjust local strategy in real time.

Requirements

Experience

- More than 10 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in commercial or business unit leadership roles.
- Proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams and leading end‑to‑end business units.
- Experience in high‑growth startups or structured corporate environments is valued.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
- MBA or postgraduate studies are highly valued.

Skills

- Strong data analysis and business modeling capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial, hands‑on mindset.

Languages

- Spanish and English (B2–C1 proficiency).

Location

- Resident of Buenos Aires, with availability to travel as required by business needs.

Bonus Skills (Desirable)

- Familiarity with last‑mile logistics, operations, or consumer technology platforms.
- Experience managing complex P&Ls; and multiple business levers simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Growth Marketing strategies, and performance management for partner merchants.
