Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Sr. Analyst, GSS Compensation to join our team at WHR Argentina in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Role
This role will be part of Global Shared Services based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Sr. Analyst, Compensation will be responsible for a variety of tasks in support of the WHR HR compensation team – supporting the U.S.-based Human Resources function in compensation administration activities within a Global Shared Services model. Primary responsibilities will include assisting with the commission payment process, administration of third‑party brokers, preparing wire requests, and routing them for approval and assisting with the monthly close process.
In support of the commission’s process, the Sr. Analyst, Compensation will take direction from the Sr. Manager, Compensation and Reporting and be responsible for the daily administration of commission reporting and third‑party payments. Status updates on pending payables, notification and tracking of payments made with insufficient funds from the bank. Compile monthly data to provide year‑to‑date data analysis on all responsibilities, including maintaining activity records. Responsibilities will include preparing invoices and statements for the month‑end close accrual and regular payroll cycles both domestic and international.
The candidate should be self‑motivated and will be required to independently take action to achieve the organization’s goals. The candidate should have strong PC skills (including Excel), and strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
What you’ll do
- Support the end‑to‑end global commissions lifecycle by maintaining accurate plan and participant data, validating calculations, preparing and reconciling payouts and statements, managing broker payments and adjustments, and coordinating with regional stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and policy‑compliant compensation outcomes while effectively prioritizing competing deliverables.
- Manage payment processing and financial reporting activities by preparing and tracking wire and check requests, supporting month‑end close, and compiling and maintaining monthly, YTD, and ad hoc analytical data to enable accurate financial analysis and reporting.
- Proper filing and scanning of contracts and supporting documents.
- Ad hoc requests, such as support the Sr. Manager in investigations and response to commission related inquiries and discrepancies.
You’ll be successful if you have
- Demonstrated ability to execute compensation processes with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to interpret compensation guidelines and apply them consistently.
- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel; experience with compensation systems (e.g., SuccessFactors) preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to address compensation inquiries and clearly explain outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple compensation activities simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines in a fast paced, transactional environment.
- Comfortable operating in a delivery oriented role with defined KPIs, SLAs, and performance targets, and accountable for accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a diverse team.
- High level of professionalism and strong commitment to service quality.
- Ability to work overtime during peak reporting periods (January, April, July, and October) and as needed throughout the year.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferable in finance or management.
- 2 – 4 years of experience in compensation administration, Total Rewards operations, HR shared services, or a similar environment.
- Ability to manage multiple compensation activities simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines in a fast‑paced, transactional environment.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based HR processes is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting U.S.-based HR processes.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) required.
