Job Description
This is a remote position.
LATAM | Contractor | 100% Remote
We’re looking for a Senior Quality Engineering Lead to join a growing U.S.-based healthcare technology company building large-scale operational platforms that support critical service coordination across multiple business lines.
This is not a traditional QA role.
We’re looking for someone who thinks like an engineer, operates like a systems owner, and can build a modern quality engineering function from the ground up inside a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment.
You’ll partner closely with engineering leadership to define how quality is built, measured, and scaled across a distributed platform that supports real-world operational workflows. This is a high-impact role with strong visibility and the opportunity to shape engineering standards across the organization.
The environment is highly technical, but the real challenge is strategic: creating scalable quality practices that enable teams to move fast while maintaining reliability, confidence, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Defining and leading the overall Quality Engineering strategy
- Building scalable automated testing practices across multiple teams and services
- Driving end-to-end quality initiatives for complex operational workflows
- Establishing modern CI/CD quality standards and release confidence practices
- Partnering with engineers and architects to improve system reliability and testability
- Leading quality initiatives around observability, automation, and process improvement
- Creating documentation, training, and enablement programs for engineering teams
- Mentoring and growing a small QE team
- Acting as a quality advocate across Core Engineering
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience leading Quality Engineering or Test Automation initiatives in modern software environments
- Hands-on experience working within .NET / C# ecosystems
- Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks and strategies, including integration, API, contract, and end-to-end testing
- Experience working in distributed, event-driven, or microservices-based architectures
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as xUnit, Playwright, Testcontainers, Pact, or similar technologies
- Experience testing asynchronous workflows and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation-first environments, and release quality practices
- Experience validating database integrations and complex backend workflows
- Ability to influence engineering culture and drive quality best practices across teams
- Comfortable operating in highly collaborative, fast-paced engineering organizations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is a plus
Why this role stands out:
- Foundational leadership opportunity with significant ownership
- Greenfield platform using modern engineering practices
- Direct impact on engineering quality standards across the organization
- Highly collaborative and engineering-driven culture
- Long-term growth potential and strategic visibility
- Fully remote opportunity for LATAM-based professionals
If you enjoy building systems, influencing engineering culture, and creating scalable quality practices in complex environments, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact from day one.
