Purpose
Philadelphia Gear part of the Timken Power Systems group in Santa Fe Springs, CA has a current opening for a Controller position. This position is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all financial information for the Philadelphia Gear (PG) Western Gear Region – Santa Fe Springs manufacturing location. As a critical member of the plant’s management team, the Plant Controller drives the financial performance of the plant, ensures a strong internal control environment, and applies economic rigor to decision‑making. The role also manages the significant accounting demands of the US government as it pertains to the Philadelphia Gear marine business, including POC accounting and related forecasting and budgeting of revenue and margins.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a partner to the PG Western Region GM and the site team to drive business performance to meet company objectives.
- Lead, direct, and coach the Santa Fe Springs finance team in all functional activities, including general accounting, job cost accounting, and inventory validation.




- Prepare all aspects of POC accounting each month for the marine business, including journal entries and related account reconciliations.
- Create annual operating and capital budgets, plans, and forecasts consistent with strategic objectives and company standards and protocols. This includes budgets and forecasts for the marine business accounted for using POC accounting and inputting and updating budget and forecast data into OneStream as needed.
- Define annual financial plans and forecasts in alignment with corporate finance processes and consistent with strategic business objectives.
- Lead the efforts to create accurate, timely and effective internal control processes and systems to record accounting transactions for the business (P&L;, Working Capital, Balance Sheet, Capex, and Cash Flow).
