Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Data Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is an online personal styling service that leverages advanced AI, machine learning, and expert stylists to deliver personalized clothing recommendations. As a data-driven retail platform, it combines technology and human insight to transform how people discover and shop for clothing.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in data modeling and data pipeline development
- Hands‑on experience with Spark and working with S3‑based data warehouses
- Proven experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and gathering stakeholder requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify and drive complex problems forward
- Solid production‑level coding experience in Python and SQL
- Proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to take ownership and adapt to new challenges

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and scale data engineering solutions, including ETL pipelines and data models
- Contribute to the development of a centralized data engineering framework for ETL logic and metric definitions
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data‑driven solutions
- Drive technical discussions and contribute to a culture of scalable, high‑quality development




- Identify opportunities for improving data infrastructure and propose impactful, data‑driven initiatives
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain production‑level code using Python and SQL
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data pipelines and data systems
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of engineering practices
