The Storyline Developer will create e-learning modules in Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise, primarily based on pre-approved graphic design storyboards, to be published on any given internal or client-housed learning management software (LMS). This person will work primarily with writers, designers, project managers, LMS admins, and account managers to ensure all inclusive requirements are met and delivered upon against specified timelines and other relevant expectations, to the best of their ability.
The Storyline Developer must have the ability to multitask, organize, and collaborate. Storyline Developers juggle a wide variety of requests from team members with competing deadlines and limited resources. Strong decision-making and prioritization are essential to make sure everything runs smoothly, and Storyline Developers need to be as organized as possible to schedule, monitor, and adjust deadlines and resources as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop learning modules in Articulate Storyline primarily, and in Articulate Rise, secondarily
Publish modules out against specified LMS requirements
Review own published output and deliver files to internal or client LMS administrator
Publish print-version of select modules, reviewing for accuracy and delivering to project manager or client
Contribute expertise to sales pitch collateral
Manage contractor developers on select projects
Run reports from LMS
Communicate with colleagues and clients from time to time
Assist colleagues in troubleshooting Storyline or other filetype output as needed
Qualification Requirements:
Expert in Articulate Storyline 360 development (at least 5 years of recent experience is ideal)
Experience developing products using Articulate Rise 360
Able to provide work samples and/or online portfolio
Has a great curiosity about technology, design, and learning
Detail-oriented work ethic with a keen eye to test, identify, and resolve technical issues, proactively when possible, before deployment or delivery on desktop and iPad platforms
Demonstrated command of strong visual design, UX, and UI principles
Demonstrated experience deploying and managing e-learning content on a variety of LMSs, experience with
xAPI
integration, and LXPs and LRSs
Recent, hands-on experience working with video/audio editing tools (Premiere, After Effects, Audacity) —
preferred
Familiarity with JavaScript and HTML5 (ideally able to code simple W3C-compliant scripts/products) —
preferred
Creative, innovative, and able to translate ideas and vision into engaging designs —
preferred
Recent experience developing and deploying XR products (AR, VR, MR) —
preferred
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends when impending deadlines arise
Requires advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) and Microsoft PowerPoint; working knowledge of Excel and Outlook expected
