As a Services Quotations Associate at Ciena, your primary responsibility is to support the sales team by preparing and submitting accurate, timely quotations for annual maintenance contracts across Ciena’s portfolio of services. You will work closely with sales, account management, and other internal stakeholders to ensure quotes meet pricing guidelines and client expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Quotation Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed quotations for Ciena's maintenance services, ensuring compliance with company policies and pricing guidelines.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide timely and efficient support in generating quotations.
- Pricing Analysis: Conduct pricing analysis to ensure competitiveness and profitability, while considering market conditions and customer needs.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all quotations and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation and provide feedback to the quotations management team.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams, including account management, Service Entitlement, Commercial Management and operations, to ensure high quality of quotes delivered on time to customers.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress or challenges.



Escalate any potential or foreseeable issues to management.
- Process Improvement: Analyze the current state of Services Quoting Tools/processes and communicate any additional enhancements that may be necessary.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external customers.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a cross‑functional team.

Education / Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 0–3 years’ experience.
- Prior experience in a sales support or customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
