Main Responsibilities: (TBD)

- Exploring and performing research on food trends (products, claims, scientific topics) for the evaluation of mid- and long term nutritional opportunities for the sweet package food industry;
- Working closely with the Head on Food trends on projects as well as the Chief Strategy R&D;, and the Strategic RD Department, to develop specific scientific initiatives that will deliver on the long term R&D; strategy;

- Partnering and collaborating on specific projects with the extended R&D; functions, to gain nutritional insights on key markets of interests aligning with strategic business partners, stakeholders, and experts;
- Developing a deep scientific understanding of problems, needs, and possible solutions;
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative assessment to drive nutritional insight, gains, risks and incorporating external insights on selected nutritional topics;





- Participating in the ideation of product capabilities with an emphasis on establishing points of difference versus competitors from a nutrition and claim standpoint;
- At the direction of the Headsupport R&D; Strategic Initiatives, and research projects;
- Consolidating inputs from Nutrition Product Function to ensure that all views are represented;

- Being a key scientific ally to the Head of the R&D; Strategic team, to effectively contribute to R&D; reviews, including scenario development, implications and the evaluation/assessment of nutritional trends.

Who we are looking for: Profile:

- Master’s degree in Nutrition/Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related;
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience of which 2 years of experience in the field of nutrition, raw materials, food processing;
- Knowledge of ingredient functionality and process technology;
- Experience working in an international and multi-cultural environment;
- Experience in a FMGC environment;
- Experience in successfully executed research programs from idea to implementation;
- Experience in project management;
- Enthusiastic, curious, pro-active, analytical, open-minded and can-do attitude with a strategic mind-set;
- Collaborative, Team Player;
- Critical thinking, Creative problem solving;
- Strong communication skills;
- Available to travel globally.

IT Skills:

- Proficiency in MS Office, in particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Language:

- Fluent in English;
- Italian will be considered a plus.
