Description

SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Specialist will report to the Human Resources Manager OR Director, in supporting all HR department policies, procedures and programs that support a nonprofit agency that provides addiction recovery services and treatment. SFRC is seeking a highly qualified professional to join the HR team. This position is an integral part of the HR department and will have direct contact with all employees within the organization and have a direct impact on the mission of the organization.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:

The Human Resources Specialist’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in performing human resources tasks which may include recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration and orientation, record and file maintenance, employee relations, background processing and performance reviews.
- Assist and monitor new hire requirements, orientations, handling on-boarding and off-boarding of staff, as well as responding accordingly to employee inquiries.




- Benefits administration to include being knowledgeable about all aspects of benefits offered, enrolling new hires, terminating benefits, managing changes and open enrollment processes.
- Orienting new hires to all benefits offered and entering information into benefit portal and carrier systems.
- Handling heavy filing of HR-related paperwork and serve as primary contact for inquiries related to forms, processes, procedures, etc.
- Strategize with HR Manager on streamlining processes and practices within the department to become more efficient and effective at supporting the organization and all employees.
- Partnering with other departments within the agency, including payroll for pay and benefit changes.
- Enter and maintain all data in HRIS for new hires, terminations and changes.
- Regularly maintaining employment records, performing data audits, and reporting on HR analytics as requested.
- Provide intake of employee relations issue
