Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Lead React Native Engineer with Expo for a full-time position (40 hoursper week) in Argentina.

ALead Software Engineer with serious React Native chops to level upthemobile team and set the gold standard for mobile architecture, tooling, and engineering practices. We’relooking for someone whodoesn’tjust ship apps —someone whoshipsframeworks, patterns, and culture.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of React Native and Expo (understanding the platform inside and out).
- Knowledge of Type Script and modern front-end patterns.
- Strong understanding of Native Wind, Tailwind-style systems, or component libraries.
- A portfolio of shipped apps (it’s an advantage if you have experience with real production-scale releases with OTA updates, push notifications, offline caching, etc.).
- Experience architecting modular, reusable mobile codebases.
- Strong opinions (loosely held) on navigation, state management, animations, and performance.
- Familiarity with mobile CI/CD, OTA deployment (Expo EAS), and store submission workflows.
- Strong sense of product and design quality — you're not just building what you're told.
- Comfort working across the stack — you don’t need to be a backend expert, but you should know how to wire up an API, optimize a GraphQL query, or debug a network issue.
- The ability not just to ship apps but to ship frameworks, patterns, and culture. Knowledge of the difference between fast and good and aim for both.

Nice to have

- Experience integrating native modules, even outside Expo (via EAS Config plugins or bare workflow).
- Familiarity with Post Hog, Datadog, Sentry, or similar mobile analytics and monitoring tools.
- Prior work in complex animations (Reanimated, Moti) or 3D/mobile graphics.
- Design eye — if you’ve ever opened Figma and smiled, we already like you.

Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture, development,



and delivery of high-performance mobile apps built with React Native, Expo, and Type Script.
- Set engineering standards for mobile development — scalable patterns, atomic design systems, performance tuning, and modern CI/CD.
- Establish a design system (the team uses Native Wind but is open to improvements) and scale it across the app ecosystem.
- Mentor engineers in all things mobile: architecture, performance, testing, DX, and clean code.
- Work closely with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver delightful, performant features on time and with polish.
- Push the limits of what’s possible with Expo SDKs, animations, device APIs, and mobile UX.
- Be a fierce advocate for developer experience — clean abstractions, fast builds, and no drama.
- Stay current with the React Native ecosystem and drive adoption of modern best practices (e.g., React Navigation, Reanimated 3, Expo Router, etc).
- Help guide decisions about testing frameworks, analytics, release automation, crash reporting, and observability.
