About The Role

What if your deep knowledge of cloud architecture could directly protect large-scale environments from the security gaps that keep CISOs up at night? We're looking for a Principal Cloud Security Architect to dig into complex cloud infrastructures, surface real architectural risks, and deliver the kind of structured, expert guidance that actually moves the needle on security posture.

This is a fully remote, versátil contract role for a seasoned cloud security professional who knows how to spot what others miss — from subtle IAM misconfigurations to fundamental design flaws that compound over time.

What You'll Do

- Assess cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP for security gaps and long-term design risks

- Review IAM configurations, identity models, network segmentation, and resource policies in depth

- Identify misconfigurations, privilege escalation risks, and insecure architectural patterns

- Produce clear, structured documentation of architectural flaws with actionable mitigation guidance

- Validate environments against leading security frameworks and industry best practices

- Support recurring assessments of cloud environments and evolving deployment patterns





- Communicate complex findings in ways that inform both technical and strategic decision-making

Must-Have

What You Bring

- Deep, hands-on experience in cloud security architecture across major cloud platforms

- Strong command of IAM models, network design principles, and cloud service architectures

- Ability to translate complex architectural analysis into clear, structured, decision-ready documentation

- Proven track record of identifying and articulating architectural risk at scale

Nice To Have

- Experience in multi-cloud environments, zero-trust architecture, or high-compliance regulated industries

- Familiarity with frameworks such as CIS, NIST, CSA CCM, or SOC 2

- Background in cloud-native security tooling, CSPM platforms, or infrastructure-as-code security review

- Experience supporting enterprise security programs or red team / architecture review engagements
