OPEN POSITION:Temporary Science Teacher – Integrated Science Lincoln High School requires a temporary full‑time Science Teacher with a specialization in Biology to cover maternity leave from August 2026 through December 2026. Potential to extend employment January 2027-June 2027 as a high school substitute teacher with specialization in Science and Mathematics.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification appropriate to the subject and grade level.
Languages:
Fluency in English (required)
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience:
Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience in a classroom setting.
Experience teaching Integrated Science and Biology.
Experience with IB Biology SL/HL (Year 1 and Year 2).
Preferred: Experience teaching in an IB (International Baccalaureate) environment.
Familiarity with interdisciplinary science approaches.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience working with diverse learners and applying differentiated instruction strategies
Commitment to fostering a supportive learning community.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Integrated Science and Biology lessons aligned with school standards and IB requirements.
Teach 3–5 Science classes, including IB Biology SL/HL (Year 1 and Year 2).
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and families.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student learning.
Participate in school activities, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Work hours:
7:45–4:15 daily, Monday through Friday
