This is a key position within the Payments Team, requiring deep domain expertise in payment processing and fintech. The role is part of the Platform Community, with hiring and technology policies defined and owned by the Engineering Manager.REPORTS TOEngineering ManagerJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, plan, and maintain the automated testing strategy for Payments functionality across a wide range of platforms, including web, mobile, and backend servicesLead the transition from manual to automated testing, ensuring critical flows are fully covered by automated testsDefine, implement, and continuously improve test scenarios, test data, and automation frameworksSelect, evaluate,



and evolve testing tools and technologies to support effective automated testingCollaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure testability is considered from the early stages of feature design across different platforms and system layersIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure they provide fast, reliable feedbackAnalyze test results, investigate failures, and work closely with the development team to resolve issuesEstablish and promote best practices for automated testing, code quality, and maintainabilityMaintain clear and up-to-date documentation for test strategies, automation frameworks, and test coverageParticipate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesThe duties and responsibilities outlined above are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned from time to time based on business needs.REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSAt least 7 years of experience in application development using Node.Js.Proven experience in the payments or fintech domain, including working with payment processing systems in production.Strong understanding of the payment processing lifecycle: authorization, capture, refund, void, and chargebacks.Experience with reconciliation processes between internal systems and external payment providers.Familiarity with financial ledgers and double-entry bookkeeping principles.Experience designing idempotent operations in distributed payment systems.Strong knowledge of architecture patterns, frameworks, and best practices.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred.English proficiency is a must.
