FAE - Mechanical Design Engineer IC Sockets

San Jose, CA

Responsibilities

- Responsible for the design and validation of products with customer interface
- Work closely with Product Managers and the Engineering GM to research and develop products.
- Provide technical support to the Sales team for inquiries related to products and their applications
- Mechanical design, modeling, and drafting with 2D/3D CAD - SolidWorks
- Validate design by simulation and analysis - tolerance, structural FEA, CFD / thermal.
- Validate design by DOE and vigente functional testing
- Work with Production, QA, and parts manufacturing to enhance product design by DFM
- Lead failure analysis of production-related issues from a designer perspective
- Conduct First Article Inspection and certification of NPIs




- Support technical communication with customers and the Sales team
- Write technical reports and present them

Qualifications

- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years in the semiconductor test field or related
- Knowledge in machining, molding, metal stamping, and other related manufacturing processes
- Proficient in SolidWorks, FEA, and CFD analysis
- Proficient in GD&T;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in Test and Burn-in Socket design
