We are seeking aSenior Engineering Manager & Site Leadto be the first hire for this new location. This leader will play a dual role: (1) guiding a team of engineers to build critical functionality for Lendbuzz's platform, and (2) serving as thesite lead, responsible for scaling the office and shaping its culture.This role is ideal for atechnical leaderwho can code, review, and architect alongside their team while also inspiring, mentoring, and building an engineering organization from the ground up. As the site grows through **** and beyond, the Site Lead will have the opportunity to evolve into a senior leadership position with broader organizational responsibilities.Growth OpportunityAs the Buenos Aires office expands, this role will grow its span of control with responsibility for multiple teams and functions. The right candidate will help shape the strategic direction of Lendbuzz's engineering presence in Argentina and become a cornerstone of our global technology leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of engineers,



fostering technical excellence and delivering high-quality, scalable softwareCollaboration:Work closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers in the U.S. and globally to design and deliver compelling user-facing productsSite Leadership:Serve as the leader for the Buenos Aires engineering office—building culture, attracting top talent, and establishing the site as a core part of Lendbuzz's global engineering organizationOperational Excellence:Drive software development best practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, and production monitoring to ensure reliability and qualityScaling:Partner with global engineering leadership to grow the site from the initial 5 engineers into a larger, multi-functional team that includes QA and analystsInspiration & Influence:Be a leader that people want to follow, setting the tone for technical rigor, ownership, and collaborative cultureKey Requirements:10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant hands-on development in SaaS or fintech environments5+ years in engineering management, with proven success mentoring teams and delivering complex projectsStrong technical expertise across modern software development practices and tools; ability to dive deep into code and architecture when neededExperience in leading cross-functional, globally distributed teamsExcellent leadership, communication,



and organizational skills—able to inspire both engineers and cross-functional partnersExperience in React, Node.Js, and TypeScript, RESTful APIs, full-stack developmentExperience in developing mobile applicationProficiency in Ruby is beneficial, with additional value placed on familiarity with Next.Js and Nest.JsExperience in Python developmentSkilled in debugging, optimization, and unit/integration testingExperience with Linux, Bash, and DockerFluency in English (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively with U.S. leadership and global teamsNice-to-Have:Prior experience launching or scaling a new engineering office or siteBackground in fintech, automotive, or financial services platformsStrong local network in Buenos Aires tech talent marketWe believe:Diversity is a competitive advantage.
