**The position**:
We are looking for an individual who will be joining our Storage team as the System Lead/System Matter Expert in the endeavor of evolving our Backup and data management environment to bring us to the next level. This includes our on-premises backup environment as well as our Cloud backups. You will be working in a global team of experienced colleagues defining and implementing the backup environment, data management and storage tiering approach and will have the opportunity to work with our various customers in IT and beyond.

**Tasks & responsibilities**:

- Drive the design, implementation, automation, and maintenance of highly available and scalable backup platform and storage
- Responsible for the operational excellence of the integral Backup environment in Boehringer Ingelheim worldwide.
- Align with other teams in a cross functional way,



to ensure operational stability of all backup services
- Align with other teams in Storage for implementation of storage tieringDevelop and drive our data management approach.

***Requirements**:

- Three or more years of back-up / IT administration.
- Familiarity with data management principles and tools.
- Familiarity with storage tiering (SAN, NAS).
- Experience working in a virtual, international, and multicultural environment.
- Team oriented, Strong customer and service orientation, problem solving, results oriented, agility and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Commvault administration Backup and Recovery.
- Experience working in large complex storage, compute, and backup environment.
