**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled **Data Engineer** with strong experience in data migrations and data modeling to join a product development team.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineers to design and execute data migrations between systems while also developing new data pipelines, APIs, and data management tools. You will work in an agile environment and contribute across the full lifecycle—from design and deployment to testing, monitoring, and ongoing support.

This position is ideal for engineers who are passionate about building production-grade data solutions and ensuring data quality, accuracy, and long-term maintainability.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Data Migrations & Modeling**
- Design, build, and execute data migrations between systems
- Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness across environments
- Analyze source and target schemas to resolve data quality issues





**Pipeline & API Development**
- Develop production-ready data pipelines using Python
- Build services and scripts for data movement and validation
- Develop APIs and data management tools supporting product initiatives
- Contribute to secure, performant, and maintainable REST-based services
- Support full lifecycle delivery: design, deployment, testing, monitoring, and operations

**Engineering Practices & Delivery**
- Contribute to continuous delivery and automated pipeline deployments
- Participate in test strategy discussions, including test automation for data workflows
- Maintain code using Git and distributed version control systems
- Work effectively within agile methodologies

**Required Qualifications**

**Experience**
- 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade data engineering solutions
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data-focused roles (Data Engineering or Data Science)
- Proven experience shipping and maintaining production software and data migration projects

**Technical Skills**
- Strong proficiency in **Python**, with experience delivering production pipelines
- Experience building scripts or services for data movement and validation




- Real-world experience with **SQL and NoSQL databases**:

- Strong expertise in **SQL Server and MongoDB**:

- Experience modeling data, writing complex queries, and resolving data quality issues
- Experience with Azure data technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, Tabular Models/DAX) or comparable tools

**Tools & Methodologies**
- Experience with Git and GitHub
- Familiarity with automated deployment of pipelines and database schemas
- Strong opinions and practical experience regarding data quality, testing strategies, and automation

**Education**
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience)

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on simplicity and quality
