Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Java Engineer with Snowflake for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a general technology company specializing in self‑service payment solutions and digital customer engagement for the retail petroleum industry.
You’ll join the development Scrum team and play a key role in building new data‑driven applications. This position focuses on developing Snowflake‑based data processing solutions using Java, working closely with a collaborative engineering team in a fully remote environment.
Requirements

At least 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
Strong knowledge of Java.
Advanced knowledge of SQL, particularly within Snowflake or similar data platforms.
Experience working in agile/scrum teams.
Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
Fluency in English for professional communication.

Nice to have

Experience with Snowflake in production environments.
Background in data engineering or data processing systems.




Familiarity with building scalable data pipelines or analytical platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data processors for analytical workloads.
Write, optimize, and test complex SQL queries within Snowflake.
Develop and test Java‑based components within the existing framework.
Collaborate with cross‑functional team members in an agile (scrum) environment.
Contribute to the design and implementation of new applications and data solutions.
Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability through best practices.
