Strategic Finance Advisory, LLC is a consulting firm specializing in supporting independent schools and nonprofits with business process improvement, strategic financial planning, accounting software implementations, and interim/part-time CFO services.
We are seeking seasoned, retired, or former school CFOs to work with clients on a contract, part-time, and remote basis.
Role Description
The CFO Consultant will be responsible for serving our Independent School and NonProfit clients, helping with business function assessments, accounting software implementations, school strategic financial planning, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and financial reporting to support the client's financial strategies and goals.
Qualifications
Independent School or Non-profit CFO experience required
Non-profit accounting experience required
Budgeting and Forecasting




Financial Reporting expertise
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Experience in financial management or consulting roles
Ability to work independently and remotely
CPA or CFA certification is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Experience with the Google Suite of applications (Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
Experience with a wide range of non-profit accounting software (Blackbaud, Veracross, QuickBooks)
Compensation will depend on each project and can range from $100 to $200 per hour.
