OverviewThe Latest Scoop is looking for a commercially driven, hands-on Ecommerce & Marketing Manager to lead growth across our online business and retail marketing initiatives.This is a hybrid role with broad accountability.
You will own ecommerce end-to-end, from strategy through execution, while also leading and deploying marketing strategy for the retail side of the business.
You will work closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing, buying and planning, social media, email marketing, creative, and store teams to drive revenue, improve customer experience, and ensure strong alignment across channels.This role is for someone who can think strategically, act decisively, and execute consistently.
You need to be comfortable moving between big-picture planning and day-to-day execution.
This is not a pure coordinator role, and it is not a role for someone who only wants to manage agencies from a distance.What You'll OwnEcommerceOwn the ecommerce business, including strategy, execution, and performanceManage the day-to-day online experience to ensure the site is customer-friendly, high-converting, and commercially effectiveOptimize site merchandising, navigation, landing pages, product pages, and checkout flowPartner with the buying and planning team to align inventory, launches, pricing, and promotional prioritiesIdentify opportunities to grow conversion, average order value, and online revenueDigital MarketingLead digital marketing initiatives that support ecommerce growth, customer acquisition, and retentionOversee paid media strategy and execution across channels such as Google, Meta, TikTok,
and other relevant platformsWork with creative and content partners to develop campaigns and assets that performMonitor campaign performance, optimize spend, and improve return on ad spendEmail & CRMPartner with the email marketing team to drive campaign and lifecycle performanceAlign email and CRM initiatives with product launches, promotions, and broader business objectivesImprove segmentation, personalization, automation, and testing to increase engagement and retentionTrack and optimize key metrics including conversion, revenue contribution, and customer responseRetail MarketingLead and deploy the marketing strategy for the retail side of the businessBuild initiatives that drive store traffic, customer engagement, and sell-throughSupport key campaigns, store events, launches, and seasonal marketing momentsEnsure brand consistency across retail and digital touchpoints while adapting execution to the needs of storesCross-Functional LeadershipAct as the connector across ecommerce, retail, buying, planning, social, email, and creativeEnsure campaigns, messaging, product focus,
and timing are aligned across channelsCollaborate with customer service and operations to identify friction points and improve the customer experienceAnalytics & PerformanceDefine and track KPIs across ecommerce and marketingUse tools such as Shopify, Google Analytics, Klaviyo, and ad platforms to assess performance and uncover opportunitiesDeliver clear reporting, insights, and recommendations to leadershipUse data to make decisions, not just to describe what already happenedWhat We're Looking For4+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or omnichannel marketingProven ability to drive revenue through both strategic thinking and hands-on executionExperience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify or similarStrong understanding of paid digital marketing, email/CRM, and online merchandisingExperience working cross-functionally with merchandising, planning, creative, and retail teamsStrong analytical skills and comfort using performance data to drive actionHighly organized, commercially minded, and detail-orientedStrong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-moving environmentPreferredExperience in fashion, apparel, lifestyle, beauty, or retailFamiliarity with SEO, A/B testing, customer segmentation, and marketing automationUnderstanding of omnichannel retail and store traffic-driving initiativesBasic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plusWhy This Role MattersThis role sits at the intersection of brand, commerce, and execution.
