ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled SAP RTR Intermediate Consultant to support our AMS financial operations.
You will take ownership of period-end close activities, asset accounting, cost center management, and complex FI configuration, ensuring that financial processes run accurately and efficiently across a general landscape.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will work as an independent contributor on medium-to-high complexity RTR issues, drive month-end and year-end close cycles, and collaborate with Finance stakeholders to deliver reliable and compliant SAP financial operations.
You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to process documentation.
Execute and monitor month-end and year-end close activities: depreciation runs (AFAB), recurring entries, accruals, and balance carry-forward (FAGLGVTR).
Manage asset accounting lifecycle: acquisitions, retirements, transfers, and depreciation configuration (AS01, ABUMN, AW01N).
Maintain cost center hierarchies; execute cost allocations and distributions; perform variance analysis (KSB1, KSV5).




Configure and troubleshoot tax codes (FTXP); support VAT reporting and coordinate with external auditors.
Resolve L2 RTR incidents: posting errors, substitution/validation issues (OB28, GGB0), and table customizing discrepancies.
Configure and support intercompany billing, reconciliation, and elimination processes (FAGLF03, OBYA).
Write functional specifications for ABAP enhancements; participate in regression testing after changes.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
2–5 years of functional SAP FI/CO experience in an AMS or project delivery context.
Solid knowledge of GL, AP, AR, asset accounting, and cost center accounting.
Experience with period-end close processes and financial compliance requirements.
Familiarity with tax configuration and intercompany accounting scenarios.
Ability to perform root-cause analysis and write clear functional specifications.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and the Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
Knowledge of SAP Controlling (CO-PA, CO-CCA) configuration.
SAP certification in Financial Accounting or Management Accounting.
