Hiring: Senior Finance & Commissions Coordinator

Your job is to ensure BetterWase knows exactly:
What we should be getting paid
What we are actually getting paid
Where discrepancies exist and why
This is not a passive finance role.
You are expected to identify problems before they surface, report them with clarity, and drive solutions.
You will work directly with Sales & Operations leadership and the CEO.

We operate at scale and are entering a phase of financial and operational restructuring.
This role is critical to building a clean, reliable, and scalable financial foundation.
What You'll Own
Commission reconciliation by carrier and period vs. active policy production
Financial reporting with real visibility into revenue, discrepancies, and trends
Commission models by carrier in coordination with Data
Identification of mismatches between active policies and received commissions
Communication with FMOs and carriers regarding billing, payments, and corrections
Tracking expected vs. received revenue across all periodsBuilding dashboards and automations for financial reporting
What We're Looking For
3+ years in finance, accounting, audit, or commissions coordination
Advanced Excel and Power BI (non-negotiable)
Experience with Google Cloud and BigQuery
Strong experience working with large datasets and reporting systems
Ability to translate data into clear insights for leadership
High ownership and urgency
Ability to operate without constant supervision
Fast learner who wants to understand the business, not just complete tasks
Strong Advantages
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Experience in U.S. insurance (ACA, Medicare, Auto, Life, etc.)
Experience with reporting automation (Zapier, Apps Script, or similar)
Familiarity with structured data models (e.g., One Big Table, period-based reconciliation systems)
