ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior SAP BASIS Administrator to lead the technical operations workstream in our global AMS engagement.
In this strategic role, you will own the SAP technical architecture, lead S/4HANA operations and cloud adoption, govern security and GRC, and serve as the technical authority for all platform decisions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Senior BASIS lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical health and evolution of the SAP landscape.
You will define architecture standards, lead cloud and BTP integration initiatives, implement DevOps practices, and own AMS technical governance.
Your leadership will ensure that the SAP platform scales securely, efficiently, and in alignment with the business roadmap.
Design and govern the SAP technical landscape: HANA sizing, HA/DR strategy, and cloud hosting architecture (BTP, Azure, AWS).
Lead SAP S/4HANA system administration and technical coordination for migration activities, including cutover management.
Manage SAP BTP services integration: Cloud Connector, Identity Authentication Service (IAS), and extension applications.
Lead GRC Access Control operations: SoD remediation, emergency access management (Firefighter),



and audit support.
Own AMS technical governance: maintenance windows, patching calendar, disaster recovery drills, and SLA compliance reporting.
Implement automation and DevOps practices: ChaRM, gCTS, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting for monitoring and alerting.
Serve as technical escalation owner for critical P1/P2 incidents; lead post-mortem analysis and corrective action plans.
Mentor junior and intermediate administrators; define technical runbooks and best practice documentation.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of SAP BASIS expertise with at least 2 years in a senior/lead role in AMS or large-scale project environments.
Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, HANA database, and SAP BTP.
Proven experience in SAP GRC Access Control implementation and operations.
Track record of leading cloud adoption and infrastructure transformation projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with SAP Rise with SAP or public cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) hosted landscapes.
Knowledge of SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and API Management on BTP.
