About the Role Pupatella is seeking a full-time contracted Accounting Specialist based to support the day-to-day accounting needs of a multi-location restaurant business. This role will help maintain accurate financial records, manage reconciliations, support accounts payable, and assist with month-end close and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple restaurant locations and entities
- Record and reconcile sales activity from POS, merchant processors, and third-party delivery platforms
- Support payroll-related accounting entries and accruals
- Oversee accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices
- Track vendor payments, maintain vendor records, and help resolve billing discrepancies
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, cash accounts, credit cards, and clearing accounts
- Investigate variances and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate account coding and support consistency across the chart of accounts
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory-related adjustments
- Help prepare financial reports and support year-end reporting and tax documentation
Experience & Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting or finance support experience, ideally in a multi-location, hospitality, or restaurant environment
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
- Experience working in QuickBooks or a similar accounting system
- Familiarity with restaurant systems such as Toast or comparable operational tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must have C1+ level English proficiency, both written and verbal
- Resume must be submitted in English
- Based in Central or South America and available to work full-time
