Remote (Argentina) | Pre-Lit + Litigation | High-Accountability Role Supporting a U.S. Trial-Ready Team
The Ledger Law Firm
is hiring a
licensed attorney based in Argentina
to serve as a
legal assistant / litigation support attorney
for our advanced
U.S. personal injury
team. This is a remote position designed for a sharp, detail-oriented lawyer who wants sophisticated, high-volume work, strong systems, and a serious professional standard, without the instability of freelance "gig" legal work.
You will support experienced U.S. attorneys across
pre-litigation and litigation
, helping drive cases forward with excellent written work, disciplined organization, and reliable execution.
The role
This position is
not
the practice of U.S. law. You will work
under the direction of U.S.-licensed attorneys
, providing legal support, drafting, analysis, and case-development assistance.
What you'll do (Pre-Lit + Litigation Support)
Depending on the team's needs and your strengths, responsibilities may include:
Pre-Litigation
- Build and maintain medical chronologies, treatment timelines, and damages summaries
- Review medical records and bills; identify gaps, issues, and value drivers
- Assist with demand packages: drafting sections, assembling exhibits, indexing, and quality control
- Support settlement strategy through liability/damages analysis and organized case narratives
- Track records/bills requests and follow-ups; maintain clean documentation
Litigation Support
- Draft and format pleadings, discovery responses, and routine litigation correspondence (for attorney review)
- Prepare deposition and mediation materials: exhibit lists, summaries, witness outlines, and document organization
- Conduct targeted legal research and produce concise memoranda (for attorney use)
- Manage litigation task lists and deadline tracking in coordination with the team
- Assist with trial-prep organization: exhibit binders, witness files, and case timelines
Systems and Execution
- Update case management software with accurate notes, tasks, and document organization
- Maintain consistent naming conventions and file hygiene
- Communicate internally with precision and urgency; escalate issues early, not late
Minimum qualifications (non-negotiable)
- Licensed attorney in Argentina
(active license, in good standing)
- Strong written and spoken
English
(you will draft in English)
- High attention to detail and proven ability to execute with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working remotely in a structured, deadline-driven environment
- Reliable internet, professional home workspace, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years in civil litigation, insurance, torts, personal injury, or related practice areas
- Experience drafting formal legal documents (motions, discovery, demand materials, case summaries)
- Familiarity with U.S. legal terminology and document style (or the ability to learn quickly)
- Strong medical-record comprehension and chronology building
- Exceptional organization and "finish quality" (clean formatting, consistent citations, no loose ends)
Work arrangement
- Remote from Argentina
- Schedule includes
consistent overlap with U.S. business hours
(exact hours depend on team assignment)
- Role is long-term and performance-driven: responsiveness, accuracy, and deadline discipline matter
Compensation and growth
Compensation is
commensurate with skill and experience
, with opportunities for increased responsibility over time. Strong performers become core members of the team, not temporary support.
To apply, please submit your resume. Qualified candidates will be contacted for an immediate Zoom interview.
