Credentialing Lead

to own and scale the credentialing function for healthcare providers across multiple clients.

The Role

As the Credentialing Lead, you will
own the entire credentialing and re-credentialing lifecycle

. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who deeply understands U.S. healthcare credentialing, payer requirements, and regulatory compliance—and can build clean, repeatable processes that scale.

You will not just "process paperwork." You will design systems, manage timelines, reduce delays, and ensure providers are credentialed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and manage the
end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing process

for all healthcare providers.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and tracking systems for credentialing.
- Ensure compliance with payer requirements, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Coordinate with insurance payers, providers, internal operations teams, and external stakeholders.
- Track credentialing status, expirations, renewals, and documentation with zero tolerance for errors.
- Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues that delay provider onboarding or reimbursement.
- Lead, train, and oversee credentialing staff or VAs as the function scales.
- Provide regular reporting and visibility into credentialing timelines, risks,



and outcomes.

Requirements

- Minimum
2+ years of management experience in healthcare credentialing

.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. payer credentialing, re-credentialing, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with insurance companies, CAQH, state boards, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions without constant supervision.

Nice to Have

- Experience supporting telehealth, mental health, or multi-state provider organizations.
- Familiarity with credentialing software, tracking systems, or healthcare CRMs.
- Experience building credentialing teams or scaling operations.
