Part-Time AI Trainer in Systems Engineering/DevOps
We are a Y Combinator-backed AI research lab, AfterQuery, inviting experienced engineers to design and document real-world engineering tasks to train cutting-edge AI models.
This is a part-time, project-based role working remotely.

Responsibilities
Design multi-step software engineering tasks such as debugging, refactoring, build automation, and data processing.
Write deterministic test suites and solutions.
Containerize tasks with Docker to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
Document tasks with clear instructions, objectives, and requirements.
Requirements
Proficiency with Linux/Unix command-line tools and Bash scripting.
3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience with Docker and containerized development.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Rust, or C++).
Based in Latin America.
Preferred
Familiarity with build tools (Make, CMake, npm, Cargo, Gradle, etc.).
Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to multiple languages (Python, Go, Rust, C/C++).
Hiring Process
After a successful technical assessment (˜1 hour 10 minutes) that tests your technical skills and ability to contribute to AI training projects, selected candidates are added to the AfterQuery Experts network and begin receiving project-based work.
Benefits
Contract: Part-time / per-project basis – flexible schedule.
Compensation: $50 per task completed.
Location: 100% Remote.
